Problem with extreme GPS and altitude

Been having the same issues for a few weeks now. Did a hard reset yesterday and after some issues with the Connect app got everything working again. Went for a walk today and watch showed 12.9km when we only walked 2.64km and the attached photo shows where it thinks we went. We walked from home on an out and back route.

If it's been a few weeks, then you had a different issue. The typical problem with the January 1st issue is that the entire track is offset, where the shape of the track is correct, but appears shifted. Your track looks more like either a corrupt fit file, or GPS wasn't being recorded between lap 7 and 8.

Now that Garmin resolved the issue, you should try to sync by cable with Garmin Express, and it will probably work well tomorrow.

The other issue relates to altitude - watch thinks i've down 4770 flights to stairs today. It seems to do this when the GPS tracking is out as well

Had the offset issue the other day, but my main one is the extreme GPS and altitude problem

I have had this issue also though just today, reset also though nothing has worked
