I’ve had my watch 1 year and the floors ascended feature has been inaccurate since month six. I’ve rinsed the port as suggested but it is still off. Can I return or what options do I have?

Well I guess I should have acted on this earlier. My date of purchase was December 2019 so my 1 year is up. Since I’m stuck with it does anyone have suggestions other than to rinse the sensor area?

I would contact them anyway just to see what they can do for you - https://support.garmin.com
I have had issue in the past with devices not counting floors. I discovered the floor was not being counted as my staircase is only 7 and 1/2 feet up. As work around. I bend down and touched the floor a moment before going up the steps, then reached for the top of the door frame after I got there. Since I only have one stairway and it leads to the basement, I have not tried this on commercial stairways...might help.
I appreciate the advice but I think my altimeter is broke and not just the height of my stairs. For example, I’ve averaged 46 flights for the past 6 months and some days it says I’ve hit 10 flights after being awake for 20 minutes and doing 1 flight of stairs.
