Vivoactive 4 GPS version 0.0

Hi, does anyone have a fix for a GPS not connecting on my vivoactive 4? I suspect the GPS sw version stuck at 0.0...the sw version on the watch is 5.21. i would like to try to downgrade the sw version, but I am not able to do it on Garmin Express. Can't find any older version of sw on any Garmin site.

5.21 was a beta version ... 5.10 was included…

5.21 was a beta version ... 5.10 was included in the zip file and there were instructions too downgrade.

How long did you wait for the GPS fix?

Sometimes a GPS fix can take a long time (this is called a cold fix).

I *think* that, once a GPS fix is obtained, the GPS software version should register properly.

Thanks for your quick response. The 5.21 was already installed (I bought the watch this way) so I dont have the zip file. The only sw version I can find is 5.21 (on the web and on Garmin Express) Also, I left the watch outside for more than an hour, with no success...

Have you tried a reboot?

Hold the upper button for about 20 seconds, and the watch will turn itself off. Then turn it back on.

Thanks. I did try it a couple times too. The sw version of gps remains 0.0 and sw version of the watch 5.21.

Did you buy it new or used?

The download on that page has the beta (which you appear to have installed) and the 5.10 firmware to revert too.

I did returned to the 5.1 version. However, still no GPS signal. I contacted Garmin support team, but since I bought the watch used, it is not covered by the warranty, so I would need to pay around 250$ to get it fixed. I might as well buy a new one, and sell mine for parts on Ebay.
