Alarm clock interaction error

When my alarm clock starts in the morning, there is the option to stop it or to postpone it. But when I do either of these actions, I am sometimes not sure what I did, because immediately at that moment the backlight turns off. So when it is still dark outside, there is no chance to see whether I canceled the alarm clock or postponed it.  Garmin please fix this.

  • Hello! Can you check 2 settings for me.

    1. Hold MENU.
    2. Select Settings > System > Backlight.
    3. Select an option: Select During Activity. Select Not During Activity.
    4. Select an option: Select Keys to turn on the backlight for key presses. Select Alerts to turn on the backlight for alerts.

    Then

    1. Hold MENU.
    2. Select Settings > System > Backlight.
    3. Timeout Sets the length of time before the backlight turns off.
    4. Gesture Sets the backlight to turn on when you rotate your wrist toward your body to view the device.
  • There are not even such settings on my VA4! This is clearly a bug that should be fixed. My backlight is set to always on with gesture motion allowed. The duration is set to short.

  • These are definitely no settings on the VA4 (5.10)

Just curious though, are these settings coming to future updates/upgrades? That would be nice!

  • will you fix this in the future update?
