I was just wondering if there was anyway to get an aeroplane mode on the vivoactive 4.
i don’t want it just for flight ha but also to minimise radiation exposure.

I think we need to ask Garmin-AmberD in this case; Is the bluetooth radio ever truly OFF?
Hello! Here are the steps to disable the Bluetooth manually!
You can turn off the Bluetooth® smartphone connection from the controls menu.
Refer to the owner's manual for your mobile device to turn off Bluetooth technology on your mobile device.
Thank you again, very nice to finally have a representative from garmin around to answer our questions!
Agreed very good to have an expert from Garmin on here
No, disconnecting the phone via the above mentioned steps doesn't turn off Bluetooth. All it does is disconnect the watch from the phone. If you have any Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth sensors, they remain working, so Bluetooth isn't off...
Garmin-AmberD We gonna need some actual information regarding bluetooth radio behaviour...
Who knows. I doubt BT its actually off on the device when it's not connected to the phone. I don't have the means to test it, nor is it important to me to know.
However, if I turn off the phone connection on the watch, which supposedly turns off BT, then walk across my house to collect my HR monitor and strap it on (which wakes it up)... then proceed to go to the HR widget on the watch, it's only a matter of seconds until I get the notice on the watch that the HR Monitor in connected. So, with that, my observation is BT is NOT off when the Phone Connection is off.
Going to the HR widget is what results in the connection. Same with Sensors& Accessories. If you stay way from those two and aren't in an activity, a BT sensor won't be searched for. It's like there won't be any search for headphones unless you're in Sensors&Accessories or looking to listen to music.
Going to the HR widget is what results in the connection.
I dont think I understand the reasoning here... Are you saying that swiping to the heart rate widget, even while not in an activity, will automatically trigger a bluetooth scan!?
