Share workout

Hello,

I am looking for a way to share custom. workouts by mail or message on a phone.

When I have made a custom workout I want to share it whit my friends for example. Now they have to make the workout by themselves.

It is only possible when the watch is connected to garmin connect. But I cannot find a "share-button" or a way to download the workout in a certain file extension.

Can you please advise/help.

    Garmin Connect does not have an option to share a custom workout that can be downloaded for another user.

    Amber, is there a plan to make this available? It seems to be a common request. Some people have made work-arounds in the past, but those have been blocked.

    As of right now there is no communication in regards to this happening, however I can send this as feedback to my team.

    This is a feature that I believe many Garmin users would find helpful. You can directly share between some of the bike computers but you can’t share between other workout types. Ie: running groups, clubs or even coaches.

    This would be a big selling point for Garmin on all devices using connect by allowing people to share running routs and interval workouts with the people there training with.

    I think it is really an opportunity for Garmin to work on this. Especially in these times of Covid virus where social distancing is the standard. Training in running groups/clubs are cancelled and with this feature everyone can do the same exercise.

    Yes please implement this feature - me and my training partner have to set the same workout up each week and it can be very time consuming and sometimes one of us can get one step wrong which throws us out of sync in the session

    Hi Garmin, please implement this in the same way as sharing a course - I'd like to be able to send my run club a link to the workout that then just opens in their garmin connect and which they can save. This won't impact on Garmin coach or any of your other products imho because it's a different kettle of fish alltogether. Currently I have to video or screenshot the sessions to help others input it into their watches. cheers.

    NB - I should say for me this would be for my garmin 945 but it should be independent of which watch it is - if the watch has the facility for custom workouts sharing a workout via a link should work.
