Bug: search toggle headphones does not work? Vivoactive 4 does not stop searching for headphones, even when Bluetooth is off...

Dear Garmin and Garmin users

Yesterday I noticed the battery drain on my vivoactive was huge over 2% per hour with no apps running, Bluetooth witched off, low battery watch face etc... I generally keep my watch at a low battery consumption rate (0,2% to 0,3% per hour is not unusual).

After doing the default helpdesk solution (Switch watch off and on), no change.  Going through my setting I found the watch was “searching”. For the Bluetooth headphones. Which is pointless for bluetooth is switched off. Fortunately there is a toggle to switch searching off. Now I guess hit a bug. You can switch the toggle to off. But as soon as I leave the menu, it is switched on again. Switching off simply doesn’t work. And still no chang on battery drain.

Next thing to do: remove headphones connection from watch, so I did. Removed the headphones from the watch and the battery drain was gone instantly. I did not do any other changes. So my guess, my battery drain was caused by the watch continuously searching for headphones it can’t possibly find for Bluetooth is switched off.  And the searching toggle woon’t stay off.

Is this truly a bug, if so, please fix this, in not, how do i solve this?

J.
