Brand new vivoactive 4 touchscreen not working

I’ve had the vivoactive 4 for about a week. The touchscreen does not work. There seems to be dead zones on it that just don’t sense my finger. I’m trying to adjust the setting and shortcuts the way I want and it clicks on things I don’t want to click on or just register my touch at all. It’s so infuriating!! What can I do?

Return it if you think it is not working properly.

If bought directly from Garmin, it's even better. They usually replace it if the hw is not working properly.

I bought mine at REI and Garmin was very quick at replacing it

Hello, I certainly apologize for this frustration on a brand new watch. Are you by chance able to get into the watch settings and reset the device completely? Or are you not able to do anything with the screen? If not, may I ask that you please reach out to us directly at support.garmin.com for assistance. This issue will require an exchange and we cannot process these through the forums."

I've just had the same problem and returned the watch as not able to a restart through the touch screen,

It seems that my watch after 9 months last night touchscreen just stop responding. I hope that the warranty will cover this.
