Only bought the Garmin Vivoactive 4s because of the music storage. Was super excited, created a new running playing using Spotify, all ready to goRunner♀️  Holly, molly!!!!  Irreparable damage to my ears when connecting. WTF! Garmin. Seriously!!!! Thank goodness that in Denmark there is a regret law giving 30 day grace period to return goods.

DEFINATELY swapping for another brand!!!

  • You do know there's a volume control in the app, right?

Tap the 3 dots bottom right, then volume control is top centre ...

    Hi Ian Miles.

Thanks for the reply. I access the Garmin Connect app using a Samsung 9s.

Would you kindly be more specific as to where in the app the 3 dots are?

When I open the app there are 3 lines in the top left corner. This gives a list  as in the image attached.

  • The app is on the watch, not on your phone.

The music app on the watch doesn't work.

The dots on bottom right , go to the next screen with the speaker in the middle of the screen. Pressing this then goes to the next screen divided in 2. Top is larger speaker icon so assumed as for louder volume. Bottom half of screen is a smaller version, thus assumed as lower volume. Unfortunately, pressing on these  has absolutely no effect. The watch screen is nonresponsive,  as though the screen is dead.

    Any other hints or tricks?

  • This is an issue that already exists for over a year. Only a handful of earbuds are supported.

Pulse ox and music are basic functions of this watch, but they basically ... don't function.

I have asked customer support when there will be a fix or whether there it is planned to happen, but their answer didn't really reassure me.

I will probably return the watch as well.

  • Didn’t this ever get corrected.  Just turned on headphones and volume is maxed out

  • Still broken with my headphones & earbuds.
I ended up putting all music (my own playlist) on my phone. At least that works! I wasted a lot of time on this issue with different brand earbuds I had laying around, and not a single one worked with the watch app. Deleted the music app and never looked back.
