Why is the elevation on the GPS of my Vivoactive 4s inaccurate?

The elevation has become quite inaccurate. Today it told me my highest point (not total ascent) was higher than the hill I was on, and a couple of days ago it gave me a minus figure for my lowest elevation, meaning I was below sea level, which clearly I was not.

Can anything be done to correct this manually or will I have to wait for an update?

The reset seems to have worked. Not recording minus elevations now and having just walked into Port Erin the measurements / height were spot on.

I don't seem to be able to reply directly to GarminXP, but yes, elevations much better now. Watch faces can be reinstated on the scroll menu. My watch is operating exactly as it should now, and no garmin Connect data has been lost.
