Vivoactive 4 not allowing me to put in actual distance that I've walked and steps not getting displayed as part of activity

Got a Vivoactive 4 few days back (19 Sep 2020) after being part of the Fitbit ecosystem for 5 years.

Have been trying to calibrate my walk for the last few days each time the issues are different.

Today, I tried to calibrate the watch again. I selected Treadmill Running. Walked for 4 km on the treadmill. Post stopping, I tried to enter the 4 as the figure, but the watch would not allow me to enter anything below 5.49! Since I had no option I entered 5.50

Went to the App, changed the distance to 4. km.

The detail in the App shows the distance as 7.34 and under that the total is 4 km!!!

I was ready for a lot of change between the two systems, but this is really silly!

My average Cadence should have been in the range of 110-115 but it is above 200!

In order to see steps on the activity and based on what I read on separate forums, I added the data field Steps to Fit but I am unable to see the steps for the activity. I logged in to Connect from the browser, when to All Activities > Edit Activity Metrics but I cannot see steps there too.

Also, want to know why can't I calibrate Indoor walk? Not everybody on the treadmill Runs! Or am I missing something here.

Can someone tell me where am going wrong with the calibration and how I can see the steps for the activity?

Welcome to Garmin firmware and the endless cycle of issues from poor firmware. The problem is Garmin developers. They have 2 sides to their brain. The left side where nothing is right and the right side where nothing is left.
