Auto-pausing right after starting a run

I've noticed since the most recent software update that my watch always goes onto Auto Pause as soon as I start an activity. There always used to be some kind of understanding built in that you wouldn't be instantly moving, but now it seems to just pause after pressing the Start button until it has picked up your pace over a few seconds. None of the other watches I've had from Garmin have done that, and I'm pretty sure this one didn't until recently.

Having the same issue, any solution to this? Watch pauses immediately and does not turn on automatically again when you start to run/walk again

I set auto-pause to a very slow pace rather than "when stopped". I use 30 minutes per mile and it works quite well for me. After a pause, I have to run about 5 yards for my watch to start counting again.

Yes this happens to me too with my vivoactive3. I even have the auto pause feature turned off and it still happens every time. How can we fix this issue?
