Vivoactive 4s Hr Heart Rate 255

Hi All. I have Garmin Vivoactive 4s. Since yesterday, when I took out the watch from my wrist, it shows HR 255! Do you have any idea what's wrong?  I saw the suggestion to bring my phone to factory settings, but I was wondering is there any other way to fix it? I would prefer to not loose all of my settings.Thanks, Kasia

    You can do a forced restart by holding in the top button for 15+ seconds until the display goes off. Wait a few seconds, then press the button again to switch it on. Failing that...

    I doubt you'll find something easier than a factory reset in order to conclude this to be a temporary software bug or a potential hardware issue. You can backup your settings following THESE instructions. Then do a factory reset.

    255 is actually indicating SW wise that it doesn't have a valid heart rate (you said you took it off).  Where are you seeing 255?  Typically you'll see something like "--" if there is no HR

    Hi, thanks for your help and  

    I know tak typically it's '--' but not this time. It says 255. Anyway, forced restart didn't help. I also did a factory reset and it also didn't fix the problem. I think it is a problem with my Face Watch. I changed it to different one and now my watch shows '--' when I take it off.

    Is a a CIQ watch face?  Be sure to use "contact developer" for it in the app store so the developer knows about this.

    Yes, it is a CIQ watch face. Good idea! thanks, I will do it. I hope the developer will be able to fix the issue. Thanks for your help
