Body Battery stopped updating?

Using Vivoactive4 4s with software version 4.90. I think the firmware was updated a few days ago. My body battery measurements appear to be stalled, in a way that is inconsistent with all prior observations. Not sure if it was related to the firmware update.

After a full 8.5 hours of sleep, the body battery barely increased, going from 18 to 30. It stayed constant at 18 for several hours. This aligns with my observations for the past several days: decreases appear to be at the normal and expected rate,  but not increases. Physically, I am not doing anything unusual over the past month - I am neither over exerting or under exerting myself. I feel rested in way that does not align with my current body battery reading.

I can hypothesize 3 possibilities:

1) I am getting sick and I don't realize it yet.

2) The hardware in my watch is damaged.

3) It is a software / firmware bug.

Any ways to diagnose if it is #2 or #3?
