download custom workouts to Vivoactive 4s

When I create a custom workout in Garmin Connect, I am unable to send it to my Vivoactive 4S. When I click on the 'send to device' option, something seems to happen because my watch says 'transfer complete' but the workout doesn't appear in my list of Run workouts. Interestingly, when I send the workout to my calendar, it does appear on my watch's calendar - so it must be in there somewhere, just not where I need it. Very frustrating - any help appreciated.

    Not sure about your question. I create custom workouts in Garmin Connect, then add them to my calendar in Garmin Connect and sync them to the calendar app on the watch by bluetooth.  I then touch on them in the calendar app on the watch to start the workout.  If you are asking if there is a way to permanently store custom workouts on the watch like they were new apps, I don't know how to do that (or if that can be done).

    Thanks for this. I've now noticed that if I delete an existing workout from the list in 'Run' I can then upload my custom workout to the watch and it appears in the 'Run' list. It's not ideal but between that and adding workouts to the calendar I suppose it's a solution of sorts.
