Do you have a Japanese version by any chanse?
Perhaps, since it was purchased in Japan. But there are no marks "J" on the body or box.
Yeah.. Pulse Ox is not present on Japanese devices due to local laws:

How people overcome this? Changing region in their connect profiles? Retrofitting european firmware? 3rd party applications from garmin store?
I don't think there is a way to overcome this. The only way would be installing the firmware which supports PulseOx, but judging by the Fenix beta firmwares - this isn't possible, because Asian devices are not compattible with "rest of world" firmwares.

Strangely, PulseOx appeared recently after upgrade VA4 to 6.20 on Japanese watch. Coincidently or not, mentioned above Garmin Support message disappeared too....
