Min per heart rate zone

New to the Garmin world. I've managed to find everything I need, except two things. This is strange to me since this watch can do so much, but at the same time, does not seem to be able to do basic things to automate HR training. I was glad however to find out that HR zones were customizable.

(1) I need to be able to read the number of minutes I've stayed in each heart rate zone WHILE working out. I know it can easily be found after the fact, but need it while I am working out.

The standard Garmin gauge gives the heart rate and indicates the zone your are in (and other data fields in Connect IQ offer about the same thing), but I am not able to find a way to get the min per zone during the work out.

(2) I would like to get an alert (vibration) every time I change HR zone (up and down). I've explored the alert function. I can put one alert on one heart zone or am able to put one alert on a low and high HR. But whatever I do, I seem to be able to have only one "heart rate" alert.

Does anyone know how i can go about this? I thought such an expensive watch would allow me to automate my HR training sessions...

Thank you in advance!
