Vivoactive 4 golf

Hi, if you want to see golf distances in yards on Vivoactive 4 do you need to change units to miles first? Then change back to metric for running? The device isn’t capable of having different units of measurement for different activities set automatically?

Thanks,

Guy

  • Yes...it took me some digging to sort that out...and it's a little annoying.

if your VV4 is the same as the VA and VA3 then

on your phone or tablet, Open your Garmin app:

    go to settings

    user settings

     Scroll down and

you will see units then two subtitles.

One is units of measure (metric for me) and the other is units for golf (yards for me).  Canadian choices.

  • I know...just confirming OP's observation that you need to change it to Miles (/Yards) every time you golf, then change it back to track your normal activities in KMs etc.

Set it once. No need to change

  • It must be different (and worse) than VA3 because you can't customize it for Golf only...need to change Units in General Watch Settings...

click and hold B - scroll down to settings

scroll all the way down to System

scroll down to Units (near the bottom)

Change Distance from KM to Miles / vice-versa
