In dire need of Korean language file

Hi, I just got my vivoactive 4 from US amazon a week ago.

I was very happy with the watch till I realise theres no way of changing the language settings to Korean and all I can see from notifications are endless squares.

This is very FRUSTRATING.

Apparently I can fix it if I have korean language file.

Can someone please send me the language file.

I really appreciate it.

Thanks

  • You likely need a different watch.  The one you got is the "World Wide" version, and it's the APAC (Asian-Pacific) version that supports Korean.

It won't help you. The language file contains translations for text items contained in the watch firmware. What you need is korean font, and that cannot be easily transferred from another watch.

  • This is very disappointing but thanks for the comments guys. So $100 extra cost for Korean version was for language support. I don’t get why garmin is doing this but thats that. This will be my last Garmin I guess. Cheers!

  • I was hoping to get Korean installed as well... I wish I had known about this issue before purchasing. I guess I'm going to return my vivosmart and purchase a Samsung fit instead... I get Korean text messages and Kakaotalk messages in Korean that I comes up as blank on my vivosmart. Such a shame as it's such a light and lovely looking fitness tracker.
