active calories burned

good day

for the past  days I've been noticing the my Garmin Vivoactive 4s is showing way more burned active calories than I'm actually burning.

usually, I walk for sometime and do cardio for about 30-40 min everyday, which makes my total active calories burned around 700.

however, those past couple of days, the watch has been showing that I'm burning over 2000!! even before I do my cardio workout.

has anyone had this issue before? or do you guys have any idea on what's going on and how to solve it?

any help would be appreciated

thanks a lot

I am having a similar issue, only got my watch 2 days ago and if it isn't resolved it will be returned.

I did a 12k walk this morning that my phone tracked as 750 calories burned, as did an online calculator, my garmin said I burned 1100 active calories which is no way right. Next I took the dog for a walk and walked 1 mile, i was out for half an hour and most of that was throwing the ball for the dog to fetch, yet my garmin said I had burned 250 active calories, if I eat all these extra calories I am going to be a whale!

I have the activity level set to 10 also as when it was zero it was way worse, i have tried reseting the heart rate zones and sisabling iiq but this didn't help.

    That sucks!

I have this watch for about 2-3 weeks now

It was doing great, with a score of 600-700 active calories a day (which is my normal), until those two days.

I ended those 2 days burning more than 2500 active calories!!

If I burn this amount everyday, I will lose 2 kg every single day!.

    That's very inconvenient

I really hope there is a solution for this Disappointed
