Incorrect total lengths in Swim pool app.

I swim almost everyday. Up to recently, the watch was great! but recently I have had a weird issue. I have an alert set for 40 lengths. My display shows Distance and Lengths. Today and for several swims now I am getting incorrectly displayed lengths.

I also count in my head. When I reach 40 lengths, my watch buzzs to let me know I have finished. today I did get the buzz and when I look at my watch it shows 1000 m but with 35 lengths.

35? it just buzzed to say that I had finished 40, and the length is 1000 which is 25 m x 40.

and I am getting out of the pool at the same length, so I can not swim odd lengths.

so this appears to be a bug in the latest software.

so why does the watch face show 1000 m and 35 lengths? this is clearly a bug in the watch code.

I am running 4.70.0.0 on a Vivoactive 4s

How do I report this issue? this is using the standard built in "pool swim".

This report has been resolved with the 6.80 software release. If you are still seeing this after updating your vivoactive 4 to 6.80, please start a new thread.

It's been a year since your post but I just want to say how grateful I am to you for posting this!

I just got my 4s a week ago and have found this exact same problem with the total lengths data field. Its really helpful to see someone else having the same problem and explaining it so clearly.

Although, on the downside, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence that this bug is still around a year later.

Did you ever find out how to report it?

How Do I Install Garmin Express?

Additionally, please reply with the following:

May we, if necessary, have permission to email you?
May we, if necessary, have permission to view/access your Garmin Connect account?
In what country do you live?
Do you see this lengths/distance discrepancy for every pool swim activity?

I have absolute the same issue, watch itself not showing correct numbers of length, but when it's syncing to app it shows correct number, looks like watch need some time to get right number.I have this problem from day one, had another watch and the same think. I need correct number in pool while swimming but unfortunately it's not working this way.

I have also observed this. The number of lengths is too low while swimming, and correct afterwards.

I have now updated to the latest firmware, v6.50 (on my vivoactive 4s)

I am going swimming tonight so will see if the bug still occurs.

I still experience this bug with the latest firmware. I've included some screenshots. The total distance is correct, as is the interval lengths field, but the total lengths field is always too low, like it lags behind the true value.
