I've accidentally skipped a portion of my workout by pressing the wrong button. How do I go back and complete that portion of the workout?

During my training, I meant to press pause (the top button), instead I pressed the bottom button and that portion of the workout was skipped.  I wanted to go back and do that portion, but the more I pressed buttons, the more I skipped ahead.  How do I 'unskip' a portion of the workout once I have pressed skip?
