Where did my new app from Connect IQ Store go?

Hello all, I have a new VivoActive 4s. I've added watchfaces from ConnectIQ using my phone, that worked fine. I added an app using the Garmin Express app, but I can't find it in my watch. Shows up in Garmin Express but not my watch. I've connected to my PC several times, my watch updates but does not seem to "get" the app.

I'm stumped.

How to find a non-Garmin app in my watch?

  • What kind of app did you download?  Things show up differently if they are a watch face, data field, widget, or device app.

    for example, with a data field, you must add it to a data screen in an activity.

    Calculated Field app by peterdedecker. AFAIK it is an app.

    The web page in ConnectIQ does say "Data Field". What I want is a nice simple display of ONLY heart rate, in Big Big numbers, so I can read it while walking/hiking without needing to put my glasses on.

  • It's a data field. 

    So what you need to do is add it to an activity like "walk".  Start "walk" swipe up and touch settings, then data screens, pick a screen and then edit data field.

    Thanks for the help. Didn't really work for me, because I don't want graphs, timers, start/stop, any of that. Just real-time measurement and display.

    I guess I need to find an app that does what I want, or sell the watch and move on.

    I did, and tried to do that. No joy.

    Fortunately I found a widget that does most of what I want. Font could be a bit bigger, but it will have to do.
