Mac loading music

Dear Garmin,

I've had my Vivoactive 4 since Christmas; I've run with it a few times ignoring the problem, and I still cannot load any music to my watch. I'll sit at my computer and it will be stuck "Loading Music" and will never allow me to select anything because it's just stuck on the spinning wheel of death. Please help me fix this.

    Does your Mac recognise your VA or not? Perhaps you could explain in more detail what you're doing and when you're getting the issue.  Folks here don't have crystal balls so you need to help us help you

    It recognizes my VA, my computer is prompted to open the Garmin Express program. It states that it successfully syncs. I select the music square on the four square layout of: music, apps, tools & content and garmin connect. I then wait while the application is stuck on "Loading Music" with the spinning wheel of death. This of course is all occurring under the "My Music" tab which is located next to the "Music Apps" tab.

    Same exact problem.  Brand new.  Garmin Connect recognizes my watch but when I click on any of the options in Itunes Library in left column, it just spins and says loading music.  It does this for well over a half hour.   I have found a few other accounts of this in random posts online and no real solution.  Unfortunately, big deal breaker for me.   I cannot ignore it.  I love my music too much and that was one of the features I like. I will exchange for an Apple Watch if I cannot get this to work.... Shame, I love the design.  

    anyone have any advise?  OP, did you figure it out?

    I do not recommend the apple watch if you are looking for an elite or functional running watch. I had it for a few months and then sold it on Craigslist because of the lack of data it got. But I still have the spinning wheel of death when it's accessing my music list while trying to sync it.

    I got it to work...  i needed to update firmware on my watch.  Have you done this?

    although it is strange because before i updated firmware, i tried syncing it with my macbook which has a much smaller itunes library and it worked.

    i think this issue is related to library size.  I have like 350gigs of music.  

    i bought the garmin because of the data and i really like the design of the vivoactive 4s...   i am glad I got music to work.

    so make sure your watch has most recent update and try again.  It still took a few minutes to load but it worked and i got some music on my watch now!
