Does Garmin plan to offer something like the Polar FitSpark?

Has anyone heard about ideas or plans to offer something like the "Polar FitSpark" feature? https://www.polar.com/uk-en/smart-coaching/fit-spark.

This multisport adaptive coaching is quite smart and you save time defining detailed trainings on your own.

  • I have also been looking for something similar to FitSpark for the Garmin. I hope it is scheduled for the future.

  • I would also like to see this. This would really be perfect on the venu 2 or vivoactive 4 ( or vivoactive 5) or higher devices.

Garmin should track how much activity you do on certain muscle groups ( like with the heat maps they have on the venu 2) and use this to determine what to workout the next day ( determine if a muscle group is being overworked. I.e. runners and not doing enough core and glutes)

  • I have switched to a Polar Vantage M recently to get the FitSpark feature. I really helps me in having a varied fitness plan switching between cardio (running/cycling/swimming), strength training and mobility training. Although my old Garmin 245M was better in other respects I am happy I made the switch. My overall fitness activities improved. When Garmin introduces something similar to Fitspark I am likely to come back.

  • it would be cool to have something like this from Garmin, maybe they could improve their Coach experience and extend it more, as generally it's good and fun but not as advanced as FitSpark you've mentioned.

I'll vote for it by submitting as idea and probably everyone else who's interested could do the same so we have more votes: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

  • It would make sense for Garmin to have something like FItspark, as it adds value to the watch, but very little production cost per unit. Personally, I wouldn't use it. I prefer to plan my own workouts.

  • I never used FitSpark, but I was contemplating getting a Polar device to try it out.

However, I noticed that Garmin offers "suggested workouts" on certain FR and on Fenix devices.

Are FitSpark and suggested workouts similar?  if not, in what ways one exceeds the other? I could not fully grasp the differences.

Thank you in advance for the info!

  • Suggested workouts from Garmin are aimed specifically at running and/or cycling. FitSpark has a wider selection of suggestions: First of all, the cardio suggestions can be used for running or cycling, but also for other cardio type sports. Secondly, FitSpark can provide power and balance suggestions with specific workouts.

Something like this can motivate me on certain  days when I'm choosing between run or HIIT, for example, and I'd love if Garmin can implement something like this for their watches.

For now Vivoactive 4 doesn't have even basic suggestions unless you're following some  plan which from what I understand is far from FitSpark.

can you please consider adding a feature for suggested workouts for our watch? I'm sure that we have people who can vote for this too.
