I don't understand the auto lap function. I have set the auto lap for running on 1 km, but my Garmin Vivoactive 4s 'laps' more often, at other distances. The first and third lap are always 1.00 km, but the second lap is not.
Example 1 (time - distance - pace)
Warm up: 4:17 min - 0.46 km - 9:21 min/km
Run 1: 6:34 min - 1.00 km - 6:35 min/km
Run 2: 3:25 min - 0.53 km - 6:26 min/km
Run 3: 6:18 min - 1.00 km - 6.18 min/km
Example 2 (time - distance - pace)
Warm up: 5:00 min - 0.54 km - 9:15 min/km
Run 1: 6:13 min - 1.00 km - 6:13 min/km
Run 2: 3:46 min - 0.62 km - 6:05 min/km
Run 3: 6:11 min - 1.00 km - 6.11 min/km
In the first example I accidentaly pressed the lap button during the 5 min warm up. In this case the distance of warm up and run 2 combined is 1.00 km. In the second example, however, I did not press the lap button, so there is no manual lap. The warm up and run 2 added together is not 1.00 km...
Please enlighten me. I'm probably missing something obvious.
