Recently purchased the vivoactive 3 and love a lot about it (other than the finicky heart rate monitor, see below). I purchased the non-music version because I found it for $128...and still have about 45 days to return it if I don't like it or decide to get something else.
I noticed that the vivoactive 4 (which includes music) recently went on sale for $270 so I have a couple questions:
1) Does the vivoactive 4 have the Side Swipe feature like the va 3 does?
2) Does the va 4 have the same heart rate measuring problem that the va 3 does? For instance: today I walked for an hour and forty-five minutes. My heart rate for the first hour and ten minutes stayed around the 85 to 100 range (sounds right). Then, right around the hour and ten minute mark, it went from registering in the mid 90s straight to registering around 60. In looking at the graph it was in the mid 90s one second and the next second it was around 60. My pace didn't really change...at that point it was actually increasing. It's done something similar several other times as well.
3) On the va 3 you can give pre-programmed replies when you get the notification of a text (ie: Yes, No, On My Way, Love You, etc.). But in a review for the va 4 the reviewer said: "When it comes to notifications, you essentially just see a list an alert that mirrors the notifications on your phone. You can't really reply to them, by voice or any other way." So does the va 4 have the list of pre-programmed you replies you can use to send a quick response back from your watch?
4) Is the vivoactive 4 worth the extra $140+ over the vivoactive 3?
Thanks for the help!
