Todays coach session is still active on Connect, but apparently done on the watch widget. I started a run session to take me closer to a training area no'd the 'Do Workout?', but somehow that became the coach session. The widget has the time of that run with a tick and it's also done on the widget training calender.
I've done the Tempo Run as I had it mirrored on another device, but not sure what to do now apart from I have no desire to repeat it today.
There are some issues with starting a NON Coach session on a workout day.
- Firstly its difficult to immediately NO the 'Do Workout?' when notification banners from foot pods and heart rate straps obscure this part of the screen sequentially.
- The 'Do workout?' screen times out (partly due to the above) and goes to the background. In the widget the only options are 'Cancel' and 'See Steps'. A third option to bring it back to the front would be useful.
- There is no way to experiment with which buttons are safe to press for additional function without losing sessions.
An option to only start via the Coach widget would mitigate some of these issues. Overall the Coach experience has been really positive, but 6am is not the best time of day for troubleshooting.
EDIT: Sending the workout to the phone seems to have fixed the widget sync issue. It wouldn't of helped this morning though as the phone I run with isn't paired with the watch and I was a mile from home.
EDIT2: After rescheduling the Tempo Run to tomorrow todays non coach run is back as a completed run in the widget. Thankfully it's possible to sync Connect on two different phones so I should be able to fix it should it occur again. Bonus points the weather widget is alive again via the second phone. I can only assume 'awaiting data' is an issue with the latest updates to Android 10. I'll see if Android can pick up the baton once the data needs a refresh.
