Hi, I just wore my Vivoactive 4 for the first time last night. Is there a way to get the actual HRV number that was recorded overnight and the resting heart rate average during sleep? Thanks.

paraskyAs far as I know there is no way to see HRV for the night even on the more expensive models. They only have Recovery which is based on HRV but there is no access to it directly.
I even contacted support and asked for direct access they accepted that idea and told that if it get enough of voting they would consider implementing it. So you can try to contact them too or submit it to https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/
I know that Venu 2 got HRV data available in Health Snapshot, but I seriously doubt that our watch would get it.
You can still measure you HRV after wake up, myself I've tried all apps and in the end stick to this one: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/1214076f-6114-4c9e-9e11-d66ad078cfe2
Please note that for the best results you still need to use a chest strap(the author tells that himself referring to Garmin developers).
8508475 blue just shows that your stress level is low (between 0-25) and orange is when it's higher than 25
Thanks for the reply. I'm actually using a Fenix 6 right now and it's the same thing. No way to get a HRV number. I feel that this is a glaring problem with the Garmin products. The recovery score doesn't really tell you anything. I also use an Oura ring now at night which gives a much more accurate RHR and an actual HRV number for the night. Comparing this data and also using a Whoop and Biostrap at times has shown that, at least for me, the heart rate numbers from the Fenix are really inaccurate. It probably varies among people but I don't think they are accurate enough to really be useful.
