Notification message error

Hi. Just got a vivoactive 4 and all appears to be good apart from I have 1 message notification that is persistent. I've tried opening all messages in whatsapp, text, messenger, etc. Tried restart phone and watch. Updated watch. Resynced, re paired phone. Anything else I can try? Can I see the notification from the watch which is causing the issue? When I restart watch it briefly states 0 messages and then 1 comes back again.
