I have vivoactive 4 for a few weeks, I used other smartwatches before (amazfit stratos and stratos 3), and I am really enjoying it, it is a much more robust and complete system. I had a bad experience with amazfit, because the two gave problems ...
Overall everything is better on my VA4, but the part that locking and unlocking the screen is a bit clumsy.
Currently I only have 2 options:
or it is always unlocked - when it bumps into the screen, it already turns on the light and activates the touch screen changing any option improperly.
or I can leave it locked (manual or auto) - it does not disable the touch screen, because if I touch the screen, it will light up with that yellow screen with a "boring" lock .. and force me to make a looong press on the button to unlock. finally ...
I humbly suggested a new option:
Unlock: with a simple (not long) press on the select button.
Lock: automatically by time or by some gesture (on amazfit, if I cover the screen, the device is blocked ... but it could be in some other simple way like double touch and etc ... but I think it is very practical and agile to cover the screen with the palm of the hand)
i believe when blocking the touch screen, it could be turned off / inactive and thus saving battery and avoiding turning on the light improperly.
