Hi everyone,

On my vivoactive 4, when I start an activity like cycling, walk, skiing with the default profiles, the thermometer does not work. It display "---"

Is it normal ? Must I activated that somewhere ?

On the watchface it works fine !

I think that my watch is up to date (v4.00)

Regards

PS: Sorry for my english ...

  • In the online manual for VA4/S, under Appendix --> Data Fields it says

    • Temperature

      The temperature of the air. Your body temperature affects the temperature sensor. Your device must be connected to a tempeTm sensor for this data to appear.

    Which Watch face? Many will be showing temperature for a location from an internet source rather than internal temperature sensor. The manual seems to imply that the temperature data field only shows the reading from an external (tempe) sensor.Tm

    To display the internal temperature sensor I use an IQ widget (called Temperature). This will be affected by internal watch temperature, ambient, and wrist skin temperature. At normal room temperature for me it displays about 30C, so I offset this in the widget settings to display 0C. Then it shows approximately how much hotter or colder than normal it feels ...

    Hi Ian,

    thanks for your answer. It's pity that we can't see this data without an other equipment.

    For example the wtachface DivideWatch;

    I going to look this widget.

    I have the same issue. It worked on the Vivoactive 3 but not the 4. I like to use if for Hot Yoga and Pilates to get a feel for the temp in the room. I understand this is influenced by my body temp but after going for a while I could tell how hot the room was. It was a nice feature and sad that it does not come with out-of-the-box functionality.
