Display backlight

oh yes please. its super annoying. also that it actiavte alway when i got an whatsapp notification.

My preference would be that it is activated by a double tap of the screen, but yes so wasteful to have it come on all the time.  Most of the time it is not needed.

I also wish to add option 'Turn off backlight on touch'. I don't know if anybody at Garmin is reading our ideas on forum?

Is anybody in Garmin, who will add this option to Vivoactive?

Yes, please add the ability to customize so that the Backlight can be set to only come on when I press the button. It is really annoying to have it CONSTANTLY come on when the face brushes up against something (especially at night).  Extremely wasteful on the battery as well as just plain annoying.

Also would like the ability to press the button again to turn off the screen. Again, wasteful to want to check the time which takes 1/2 a second but the display stays on the full timeout time. Would be nice to be able to press the button to check the time, and press it immediately to turn it back off.

A clever thing could be that it activates after sunset and deactivates at dawn, obviously leaving the possibility to decide the intensity of the backlight.
