Disable WiFi

Hi,

Is there a way to disable WiFi? I cannot see any way to be able to disable it.

By the way, like a lot of people, I am experiencing poor batter life. I effectively have to charge the watch daily which is very annoying. Not at all what was promoted.

Thank you.

  • Could go to settings->WiFi and delete any WiFi networks you have set up.  That would eliminate the possibility of connecting but not guarantee that WiFi has been turned off I guess.  Also, could try turning off watch and waiting a few minutes and then turning on again.

Thank you for your response. However, removing networks will probably not stop the watch constantly looking for new connections.

  • The watch doesn't keep looking for wifi.  It only looks when wifi is needed - such as after you save an activity and it tries to sync it.

Wifi isn't the reason for your battery life.

  • Wifi is the cause of your battery drain. If you enable it it will remain permanently connected to your router. You can verify this by checking your router admin page.

Since enabling wifi my battery life halved.

  • I have Wifi set up on my watch, and sync manually, not automatic. My router does not list my watch between my manual connections like syncing activities and Spotify playlists.
