Backlight always on during activity?

Is there a possibility to leave the backlight always on on the viviactive4 during activity? I'm using the VA4 for kayaking (also in the dark) and is placed on my kayak on a mount so wrist gesture doesn't work. Friends of me have a Venu and a forerunner 645 and they can leave the lights on!

Hi I experience the same need, have the same problem. It´s important that I can decide when I would like to have the backlight always-on when kayaking. Thanks

I have the exact opposite problem... When doing a bike activity, the backlight remains on constantly and destroys my battery life. Any way to turn this off?
