Is there a way to blank the screen without turning off the watch to save power?

My Fitbit would blank the screen to save power and then I could activate the screen before it went back to sleep with inactivity.

Is there such a power save option on the VIVOACTIVE 4.  I could have sworn that I had the screen blank once, but couldn't replicate what I did.  I think that would extend the life of the battery big time.  Do you think?

Anyone know the answer?

I too have the same thought. It seems unnecessary.
    My preferred setting would be:

    • screen default off
    • screen on after gesture
    • screen on and backlight on after tap on screen

But maybe, the screen doesn't take as many battery as we think it does.

  • A whole different display technology.  The va4 uses Memory In Pixel, so there's next to no battery used to keep the display on.

In fact it's a selling point for Garmin over fitbit, etc.  Always on, and you only have to charge every few days.
