Is there any way to recover an accidentally discarded workout

Is there any way to recover a workout that was accidentally discarded instead of saved?  This has happened to me twice this week, once mostly my fault, the other not so much.  Anyway, are discarded workouts stored anywhere so they can be recovered or is there a way I could manually enter an approximation of the workout?  One of the workouts was a Garmin Coach workout and I would like to get credit for it for purposes of the algorithm.  It was hard enough to get through the first time, I have no desire to do it again.

  • If it's discarded, it's gone.

  • I really wish that Garmin didn't make it so easy to discard an activity. It makes no sense that the option is so close to the "Save" option. Activities should only be discarded through the Connect app, OR there should at least be a prompt that asks you to confirm the discard. It's so ridiculous.

  • You DO have to confirm a discard ... and it's not close to the save option at all.  Save is at the bottom of the screen, discard is t the top. If you select discard, you have to tap the screen again to confirm the discard. You can also abort the discard by pressing the top side button within a few seconds.

  • I know what you are saying with regard to a normal run, but I think it works a little differently in a Coach workout where the workout itself ends and triggers the prompt to save or delete.  In any event, I remember it was my long sleeve that triggered the delete choice for the workout without my knowledge.  In the other instance, I completed a swim and could not figure out how to stop the workout (this was when the watch was new to me). Unfortunately, my guess for how to do so discarded the workout instead.

Anyway, I will try your suggestion about the top side button if I ever get in that situation again.  Still would prefer that discarded workouts be temporarily saved for a week or so in a separate file, where they could be restored if necessary.

  • Unfortunately, it's not that easy if you're swimming or running in the rain. There's been numerous times where it'll discard instead of save.

  • I agree is too easy to discard a training session and it should be kept some time in the app before deleting it at all
