vivoactive 4 and Spotify

Hello,

I bought a new vivoactive 4. One main reason was to use Spotify offline (without smartphone). Unfortunately I can only download around 100 Songs. The music memory is not touched after download. The memory is full after ~100 songs and I cannot install anything on the watch.

How can I tell the vivoactive 4 spotify app to use the music memory of the watch. Because without that a usage of the spotyfy app (and amazon music) is not possible. The amount of 4GB is not used.

Is this a software bug? How can I fix this?

I am interested by the answer because I think to buy deezer or Spotify in order to use it in the vivoactive 4s, and I would prefer Spotify. But if it doesn't work with Spotify.... I am disappointed

I'm preferring Spotify. But I've found nothing with G**gle.

I really think about returning the watch.

Oh no. I really think this watch is awesome, before all the upgraded log 4.0. Now we have too many problems. But if you run, the watch is very good.

But for the music, I'm sad that it doesn't work normally with Spotify... Maybe Garmin will do something to fix the problem. Did you contact them directly about it?

    Hello,

I've good news. I connected the watch with GarminExpress and upgraded the firmware to 4.0

Now it works like expected. In my Test I downloaded playlists with around 200 files. Now the storage for the music is used.

    Hope this helps.

Hi, Garmin Connect is on your computer, it's not an application.

And when you install Garmin connect, you have to parameter your watch and link your watch to your computer in order to have the latest firmware.

    Hope I helped you

Garmin Express is a windows application. So you have to download it from garmin.

The upgrade can be done by using GarminExpress.

  • You can use some software as your backup choice. You can try AMusicSoft Spotify Music Converter to download your songs. It has no limit.
