My body battery was charging back to 100%, every single night. Regardless of quality or duration of sleep. It was also going back to 100% within 4-6 hours and logically speaking, one is not ready to take on the world after 5 hours of sleep, especially in consecutive days.
Garmin chat support was totally useless in helping me out, so I reached out to Firstbeat, the company that provides these metrics in the first place. Turns out my HRMax was set WAY too high. I don't know how it happened, but I suspect it's from when I was playing around with my first Garmin watch more than a decade ago.
I'm 39 years old and it was set to 195. I changed it to a reasonable 182 and now my body battery seems to be working A LOT batter. I'm only 1 day in, but already seems to be a lot more "accurate". I almost sent the watch back because of this. So... for anyone who thinks their body battery is not working right, check your HRMax settings in Garmin Connect.
