Do I need to water lock or use a water mode on my vivoactive 4s before I swim with it or use it in the shower?
No. The VA4 is rated to 5 ATM which is approximately 50 meters.
VA4 can track swimming activities as well, so I wouldn't worry about swimming with it, none the less shower with it
