Innumerable problems with the VivoActive 4

This is my post from reddit that I am rewriting  and forwarding with a link as a few of the responses are having similar problems.

I just got VivoActive 4 last week but since the past 3-4 days. A lot of problems have started!

Syncing/Pairing issues : I had paired and synced on the day I got it. Just to find out yesterday that the Garmin Connect app refusing to recognize my watch let alone sync it. I had to go through the entire pairing process again to view the data fields in my app

Battery Life : I have had to charge my watch around 4 times in the past week last time it lasting me around 17-20 hrs when I don't even have GPS or Music on on my watch and it claiming to have a 7 day battery life as they say on the website.

Screen Glitching : since the past 2-3 days everytime my battery exhausts, when I start charging it, it is basically impossible to switch it on. It either starts of some hardware testing which mind you, is almost impossible to get out off and if you are lucky enough and you do. The screen glitches, shows a glitched out version of the time in the top 30% of the screen with the rest of the screen going white.

My issue is that I am from India and I asked a family member of mine to bring it here from USA.

Firstly, is there any resolution to these problems?

And secondly, how do I return my watch because I don't think there is a way to get a replacement even if I return it :(

  • The screen glitching issue looks like hardware malfunction. Do you have any receipt or other proof of purchase? I'd start with contacting Garmin support, and maybe they'll tell you how to proceed with a potential replacement.
