Temperature Field

The Temp. field always shows 3 dashes, no reading --- For example, the stock Ski Activity, main screen has Temp. as one of the four fields on the first screen. I skied all day and never saw a temperature displayed. Also, if I create an activity and add Temp. to one of the data screens, it always shows ---. I understand the Vivoactive 4 has an internal temperature sensor that won't necessarily measure ambient air temperature. But shouldn't it be displaying a reading, not "---"? I do not have an external sensor like a "tempe", but understood the internal temperature sensor reading would be displayed. Do I have a faulty watch, or is there something I need to do to make this work?

On a VA3, I get the temperature from my phone and location on. The VA4 may be different.

The weather function is a different feature.

The vivoactive devices (starting with the first one) would only record temperature in the .fit if a Tempe was paired and connected. Looks like with the va4, it only displays temperature if there's a tempe connected. Maybe to avoid confusion with the internal sensor not being recorded in the .fit

Unfortunately I've the same issue, this feature is working with my Vivoactive HR, I don't know why they disable it, I'm really disappointed from Vivoactive 4, It have some new features, and nice looking, but it have bad battery life, and temperature sensor is reading higher value compared to Vivoactive HR, and not working with activities.

If I have some great features in my old Vivoactive HR, why I lose it in the newer version Vivoactive 4.
