HR Sensor Blink! Update 3.80 Does Not FIX! Developers don't care about US

What now. There was 1 month since the release of 3.60 software where the issue with hr blinking sensor never stops after activity.

Update 3.80 DOESN'T FIX THE ISSUE EITHER!

Developers does not care. They don't read forums, they don't work.

30 days of issue. NOW, 30 more  to go. GJ

I payed lots of $$$ for the watch and can't use it!

Sad life.

  • Maybe it's measuring recovery HR after a workout, just like Apple Watch does?
HR recovery is an important metric in cardiovascular fitness.

Apple Watch continuously measures HR 2min after ending a workout, for this reason.
Usually a 10 bpm / minute drop is a very good value.

But from what i remember when using Garmin watches, this value is not displayed anywhere either on the watch or in Connect (or in Health app on iOS). So yeah, i would say it's another Garmin Bug :)

  • To: 3425675: Without exaggeration, you can't use it? You do a reset after activity and everything works like new. ;-)

But the fact the producer has this forum somewhere.

  • can't. I have to restart after activity, and it SUCK. Why should I struggle?

  • @7187100 that is a very logical explanation. But you see, it would be really nice if someone from their side raise up and explain this to us. If it's a bug, or not or how it should work. Right now we are left alone with potential bugs.

  • It has nothing to do with Apple Watch. The point is not that the LEDs blink after activity, just that they blink even non stop when you put the watches on the table.

  • It's not. Watch will remain blinking off the hand hours after workout. The only way to fix it is to turn off/on. Which is pain in the ass.

  • My hr stops blinking when removed from wrist, and then restarts when back on wrist

Unfortunately I dont think so. I usually take my watch off when I get home. Which it approx. 30 min after the workout and it still blinks like crazy until I turn it of. Thats sad that the 3.8 does not fix this issue... I upgraded my 4S this morning and really hoped it was the solution. I still like the watch but it is a little desturbing that it keeps on blinking for hours when its just laying on my table.

  • i noticed this also in my VA4 test i did couple of months ago. However, it did not happen all the time, which is strange.

  • First, I apologize for the issues you've experienced. I understand the frustration completely and wanted to let everyone here know that we are actively working on the fix for this issue and aim to have this available in the next couple of weeks.

I understand this delay does not solve the issue immediately, but we are working to make sure this issue is resolved before releasing the update. Thank you everyone for your patience in the meantime.
