Steps calories too high

Steps calories give abnormal calories burned, 756 steps gives 201 calories while should give around 30, 1462 steps gives 512 calories while should give 58.

Bump, please provide some solution  This kills the purpose of having a fitness tracker, I bought this device to loose weight and get an estimation of calories  Burned vs how much I can eat. If this estimation is not accurate this device is useless.

I think my Vivoactive 3 is giving ridiculous values for "step calories." On days where I run, it seems to almost double-count, giving a daily number that is way too high.

Did a boot camp last night using both my vivoactive 4 and a Samsung gear fit 2. The Vivo said 632 calories whilst the gear fit just 327. I believe the Samsung more at this point. Is there something Erinn with he Garmin firmware ?

  • same with galaxy active 2.  x2 times less than garmin. Overall along day - x3 times than samsung. I'm sure, it's wrong.

Where do you do this? This problem is completely rendering having a Garmin useless. I know I didn't burn 900 calories yesterday. I didn't even leave the damn house and I got 4000 steps. It's so absurd.
