I know this is an old thread but I just got my watch and had the same question. This was helpful, than you. I also realized that if you press and hold button "b" the battery status is at the top of the screen.
you know, I've entered the screen with a long B depress so many times, and have been completely blind to the obvious battery indicator. Thanks for pointing this out! Makes me less anxious about using a data-less watch face
Yes - that was exactly what I was trying to solve :). I just happened to notice it while playing around since the watch is new. I actually don't thing the manual points it out.
