no connection to Wifi

Same problem with VA4, error 0200, no connection possible with wifi for upload Spotify playlist... we all agree the music on the watch is a key feature that MUST work properly before release. I'll have to return the return the watch too if this isn't solved rapidly.

You can install your Wlan on the watch easyly by using the Garmin Connect app. Just gon on Garmin Devices, choose your device and hit the General Settings. Wlan Networks on top. Hit on that und make sure, that DNS is off on your VA4. Than just follow the instructions.

I'm not sure I get the "make sure, that DNS is off on your VA4" part

  • Still the same: error 200. I think most of the people claiming the problem in this forum have made sure the watch is connected to their home wifi network before entering the claim, and for the one that didn't ...they will end up most likely with the same problem at the end. I'd rather see a "sorry guys, we know the problem and we're working hard to solve it asap. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have an update for fixing it". I think what I/we want to know is: hardware of software? I really like the features of the watch, I just switched back from Apple Music to Spotify to be able to use my playlists with the VA4 ...so it would be a disappointment if no solutions can be found.

I had the same trouble but it has been solved after stop and restart the Watch once the wifi was setup and sync with Garmin connect express from my computer.

  • I'm having the same problem. I get the error code 010. Had the watch 3 days but I'll have to return it if I can't connect to Wifi

Same problem here ... Had my watch for a few weeks, just got around to trying out Spotify ... "no wifi connection", "error code 010", and then the watch crashes. Tried restarting, uninstalling, reinstalling, you name it - still not working. Definitely a deal breaker if music providers aren't working Disappointed

  • Hi- having the same problem- were you able to solve this and if so, how?

Yup! Same issue here. I'm sitting right next to my wifi router and the reading on my phone says the wifi signal is excellent. I would love for this to be worked out soon. I would hope that it would be a quick software update.

  • I had the same problem, a soft reset didn't fix it (15 seconds on 'A') I had to go into the menu and perform a System reset, and then connect the Modem and password again through Garmin Express. Now it works. THis saved me, as I was contemplating sending the device back on guarantee thinking there was a hardware problem. Gladly the System reset did the trick.

  • Hi what is Garmin Express? I have Garmin Connect. what is the difference.

    I have a vivoactive 4s.

Also so you lost all your data and settings as it was a factory reset, is that right, but it now works?
