Steps keep resetting?

I've had my vivoactive 4s for 3 days. It's been working fine, just like my vivoactive 3. Today, since about 4pm NZ time it keeps resetting back to 8514 steps. When I look at the graph in connect I can see the graph thinks I've done more than today's goal (12,000) as many steps are in orange. But my watch, and therefore connect, keeps reverting to 8514 everytime I sync.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi, I sent my watch back to Garmin through the reseller. I can post the results or actions taken from Garmin, but they said it might take another 2 weeks, so probably end May 2020. I hope they fix this once and for all, the error is not ok.

    Best regards,

  • So to everyone having this issue. I think it turned out I had a slightly glitch watch. I couple of weeks ago I was having issues with the steps syncing, where the info in the "cloud" or website would not match my watch.

I contacted Garmin and sent my watch in, getting a replacement only a few days later. Since then absolutely no issues at all in any way shape or form. So I believe that I had a glitchy watch. I used to have all sorts of weird sync issues that I didn't realise I was getting till I got a watch that worked properly.

So if you have one that's doing weird things, contact Garmin and get it swapped, cause it's probably glitch.

Hi, They did send me a new watch and it works fine. Did not recieve any explanation or justification. Assuming the watch has an probability of failure, just send it back to Garmin, unfortunatly you will have to wait some weeks for a new one.

    Best Regards,
