Steps keep resetting?

I've had my vivoactive 4s for 3 days. It's been working fine, just like my vivoactive 3. Today, since about 4pm NZ time it keeps resetting back to 8514 steps. When I look at the graph in connect I can see the graph thinks I've done more than today's goal (12,000) as many steps are in orange. But my watch, and therefore connect, keeps reverting to 8514 everytime I sync.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi all. I see others are having the same issue from time to time.

Overall I haven't had this same issue since. I made sure that I updated all the software on the watch and my phone etc and it's been fine…

Has anyone found a reason for this? I've had my vivoactive 4 for about 10 days now and thought my steps reset the other day but just thought it was me going mad but I've just been out for a little walk (I recorded the walk as an activity) and have come home and my steps were on 58. What the hell!

Hi all. I see others are having the same issue from time to time.

Overall I haven't had this same issue since. I made sure that I updated all the software on the watch and my phone etc and it's been fine.

But I do notice from time to time I get sync issues where my steps on the website seem to be about an hr behind what I've actually done. No solution to that, I mostly just ignore it as generally my daily steps are way above my goal.

Unsure if it's a watch issue or a connection issue, I may chase up again if it does it again.

Same... been working GREAT until a few weeks ago. Any ideas of how to fix it?

I had this happen to me one time around a year ago. I noticed while in the middle of a run that the Garmin triangle was on the display and steps were almost zero when the watch came back. Basically, my watch had a severe crash and it blew away all the stats of that day. That hasn't happened since but I do find that my CIQ watch face crashes pretty much every 2nd day or so. Fortunately, a reboot brings it back.

Same here, worked fine until some weeks ago. Garmin Watch (Vivoactive 4s) is reducing the steps randomly, as example, had about 3000steps, and went for a 12km run (in a single day), the stepcount shows 175 steps as total steps for the day after saving the run...

The interesting part: going into history of a run ON THE WATCH, (in this case the 12k run), still shows in details 14382 steps.

Why is Garmin Connect and the watch not corresponding to the right amount of total steps?

This has happened multiple times over the past weeks, I want to have a replacement watch from Garmin if this issue persists!

Same issue here, after 30 min on stepper I saved the activity and noticed the steps counter got reset and showing 75 steps only. This is very annoying as steps counting is very important for me.
