Garmin Connect Intensity Minutes

Why arent indoor training rides on my Wahoo Kickr loading to Intensity minutes in Garmin Connect? The activity is loading to Garmin Connect, but Intensity minutes shows nothing. Yesterday for example, my avg HR yesterday for 2 hrs was 155 with a high of 186, however nothing shows.

  • Intensity minutes have to be calculated by a compatible garmin device.

I have a Garmin Vivoactive 3 watch and a Garmin HR monitor strap on. The whole ride loads to Garmin connect with every detail under the sun, yet none of it loads to the Intensity tracker in Connect.

  • If you have a VA4, try starting an aerobic activity and let the watch track that. When you are done you can discard the activity, but the intensity minutes will still count.

Does the watch show the intensity minutes?

No, it does not. Garmin Connect shows the entire workout and all of the details, but the watch does not show Intensity minutes, nor does the App in that section "Intensity".

I've got a similar issue. I train on sufferfest and have a pair of sensors (plus the vivoactive 3).

in order to get activity minutes counted... I've got to record an activity on the vivoactive - connected to a speed sensor and a cadence sensor, as well as run the sufferfest session... now, this is apparently "beyond the capabilities of the vivoactive watch".

I'd LOVE to be able to just set the vivoactive to broadcast it's HR and get credit... but for whoever designed/developed the software for intensity minutes, it's beyond them. The issues i've got...

    setup 1)

-Vivoactive set to receive speed data from one sensor (kinetic inride 3 pod), cadence data from another sensor (wahoo cadence sensor), and broadcast HR data.
-Sufferfest set to receive speed/power data from one sensor (kinetic inride 3 pod), cadence data from a second sensor (wahoo cadence), and HR data from Vivoactive 3 via ANT+ to a receiver sensor within ~3' of all three sensors

problems with setup 1- vivoactive fairly consistently loses speed data, sufferfest frequently loses HR. but, i get intensity minute credit

    setup 2)
Vivoactive set to broadcast HR, no activity started.

Sufferfest receives data as per setup 1.

problem with setup 2 - no intensity minute credit.
