Airpods Gen1 or Gen2 - anyone having experience?

I see various results when doing research. How do the Airpods work with the Vivoactive 4s (or at least the Vivoactive 3)?
It may even vary from device to device, that is why I would like to know specific experience with the Vivoactive range.

Used my Airpods Gen1 several times. Seem to work just fine. There are occasional pauses, very brief, and music replay starts without outside intervention. I have not noticed these pauses when connected to my iPhone X.

On side note, when using the Airpods battery burn rate appears to be about 10% per hour. Music source is Amazon tracks sync'd to the device.

It works fine but the music will not stop when you remove the airpods from your ears (like it does on the iPhone). Also as cemdners mentioned the battery drain is high.

Failed to mention that when I double tap either ear bud the music play stop.
